We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director to support the portfolio of products and services delivered by Comms Tech to multiple function and business lines across HSBC. This individual will be responsible for providing technical solutions that enable the various stakeholders to meet their business objectives.

In this role, you will:

- Manage relationships between Comms Tech and stakeholders across business lines and functions, including Communications, Brand, Global Asset Management and Finance.
- Lead technical conversations with architects and solution designers, bridge gaps between stakeholders and delivery PODs, and advise on solutions that achieve agreed outcomes and key results.
- Build effective relationships with HSBC IT teams, technical product managers and Product Owners, including Architecture and Cyber Security, to enable business outcomes and compliant delivery.
- Manage external development agencies and strategic technology suppliers, including Microsoft Azure and Sitecore, covering delivery accountability, service reviews, integration, renewals, timelines and budgets.
- Coach stakeholders in Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban and Lean, and represent Colleague Experience Technology in delivery engagements.
- Promote Engineering Excellence within the teams, with an understanding of our key controls and best practices
- Own end-to-end project delivery for Comms Tech, ensuring work is completed to agreed scope, time, budget and bank standards.
- Manage run and change budgets, plan annual technology spend, and report and assess financial metrics across the technology portfolio.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Exceptional relationship-management skills, with a proven record of influencing stakeholders at all levels of a global organisation.
- At least 10 years of experience working with technology teams in infrastructure, software delivery or a technical project-management role.
- Proven experience leading software delivery and projects using Agile and Waterfall approaches; Scrum Master certification is required, while Scrum Product Owner, PPM or PRINCE2 qualifications are desirable.
- Experience managing, recruiting and developing high-performing, medium-sized teams across multiple locations, including remote colleagues.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including executive-level presentation, influencing and persuasion capabilities.
- Deep understanding of HSBC technology-delivery processes, supported by sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Akamai and Sitecore to engage effectively with development, content and engineering teams.
- Experience planning technology budgets and managing and reporting financial metrics for a technology portfolio.
- Experience in vendor management and contract renewals; a higher-education qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline would be advantageous.
