Job Summary:
Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Quality
Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

Identifies and controls non-conforming material.

Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.
Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills.
Achieves production goals.
Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
Teamwork
Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.

To ensure the right tools are available, correctly identified, properly maintained, and issued on time so that production runs smoothly with no tool shortages and downtime.
No rejection and rework due to tooling issues
Knowledge of operating the Zollar tool setting machine
Knowledge of cutting tools and CNC tooling.
Knowledge of handling and setting the critical tools
Knowledge of proving out the new tools and application
Involvement in CPC improvement and alternate source development
Knowledge of current trend and low-cost solution in cutting tool technology
Tool identification and inventory management.
Basic machining knowledge.
Understanding of tool holders, inserts, drills, cutters, etc.
Measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
ERP/SAP or inventory-management systems
Excel and record keeping
5S and workplace organization
Flexible to work in Tool room & tool crib activities
Good communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of operating the Walter tool sharpening machine would be an added advantage
Knowledge of operating the Surface grinding, lathe machine, Radial drilling machine would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of PR/PO, GRR would be an added advantage.
