What We’re Looking For:

We are hiring a Trading Data Platform Lead to drive the development and ongoing improvement of IC’s near-real-time data platform. Your mandate is to ensure that data pipelines are reliable, appropriately monitored, failures are identified promptly, and data is maintained to a standard that enables stakeholders to rely on consistent and well documented information. You will work with a live and growing data environment and be accountable for its engineering discipline, reliability and continues development. This is a senior individual-contributor role with real ownership, working alongside quant researchers and quant developers and reporting to the Head of the Intelligence function.

What You’ll Do:

- Data platform management: Lead the development, maintenance and reliability of a data platform supporting the ingestion of data from trading servers, bridges and liquidity-provider feeds, as well as its transformation, storage and serving though ClickHouse and Snowflake.

- Data reconciliation and integrity: Establish and maintain reconciliation processes to compare information across relevant source systems and data environments, identify variances and ensure material discrepancies are appropriately documented and escalated to the relevant team.

- Data observability: Develop and maintain monitoring, data-quality controls, schema- change governance, alerting and operational procedures across production component.

- Engineering standards: Establish and maintain appropriate engineering practises, including version control, CI/CD, testing, code review, and documentation for data pipelines and related infrastructure.

- Platform development: Design scalable and reusable data solutions that support evolving analytical and reporting requirements across the IC Companies.

- Cross-functional support: Work closely with quantitative, technology and analytical teams to translate analytical requirements into reliable and performant data models and solutions, while maintaining data integrity and quality.

- Knowledge and continuity: Maintain appropriate documentation, knowledge transfer and cross-training to ensure that data-platform processes and services can be operated and supported by multiple team members.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience building and operating production data systems

- Several years owning a production trading data platform at a broker, proprietary trading firm, market maker, bridge or trading-technology vendor, or exchange- adjacent business.

- Deep, hands-on ClickHouse: MergeTree engine family, deduplication and FINAL semantics, partitioning, TTL, materialized views, performance tuning under high- cardinality tick and trade data.

- Production Snowflake experience.

- Orchestration and streaming in production — Airflow or Dagster, Kafka, change-data- capture — with version-controlled transformations (dbt or equivalent) and CI/CD for data.

- Trading data fluency: deals versus positions, partial closes, netting and hedging accounts, swaps and commissions, symbol and contract mapping, server time versus UTC, rollover and weekend edge cases, MT4/MT5 server data structures, bridge and LP fill logs, FIX drop copies.

- A reconciliation mindset: you have built and run platform-to-warehouse recs and know where the bodies are buried.

- Strong Python; comfortable in SQL at depth.

- Clear written communication — runbooks, data contracts, incident write-ups.

Nice to Have

- Experience in the financial market or comparable environment

- Experience working with complex transactional or financial-market datasets and associated analytical systems.

- Systems-language experience (Go, Rust, C++).

- Prior experience strengthening a fragile, complex or single-operator data environment.

Working Schedule: 
Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00 (Hybrid model after 2 months – 3 days from office, 2 days from home)
