As a Specialist Purchasing (m/f/d), you will ensure a reliable supply of materials for our customer projects by proactively managing shortages, coordinating with suppliers, and mitigating supply risks. Working closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Project Teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining project continuity and operational excellence.
## Explore your tasks and responsibilities

- Manage material shortages proactively to ensure uninterrupted support of ongoing customer projects.
- Identify critical material requirements and potential supply risks at an early stage.
- Monitor delivery schedules, order confirmations, and follow up consistently on outstanding supplier commitments.
- Escalate delivery issues with suppliers and drive corrective actions to minimize delays.
- Prioritize and coordinate material requirements in close collaboration with project management, production planning, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Support procurement activities, including supplier quotations, order processing, and the identification of alternative sourcing options.
- Maintain accurate ERP data (proALPHA), prepare shortage and status reports, and proactively implement measures to prevent project delays.

## Show your expertise

- Completed commercial or technical vocational training or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in material planning, materials management, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or project-driven environment
- Strong expertise in material shortage management, including demand planning, delivery tracking, supplier escalation, and operational procurement
- Proficient in ERP systems (ideally proALPHA) and Microsoft Excel for effective data management and reporting
- Very good German and English skills
