Design Manager (Architectural Designer)

As a Design Manager, you will join our Design and Construction Project Management teams to deliver world-class services for new Tesla showrooms, service centres, delivery hubs, bodyshops, and distribution centres across the region. You will manage and deliver individual projects with a strong focus on design, working alongside the brightest minds to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

We are seeking an architect or technical designer with a proven ability to think creatively and strategically. In this role, you will lead the full design lifecycle — from early feasibility and concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and project handover — for both new builds and adaptive reuse of existing Tesla facilities. A key part of your role will be producing high-quality, accurate, and construction-ready design documentation using Autodesk Revit, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines and alignment with Tesla's design standards.

- Conduct due diligence, feasibility studies, and site surveys for new and existing locations
- Produce Design Intent Drawings in Revit, ensuring adherence to brand standards, code compliance, and efficiency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Security, EHS) to integrate technical specifications and requirements
- Work with Architects of Record and consultants to optimise constructability and cost-benefit ratios
- Manage regulatory permit requirements with the support of external vendors
- Assist in creating CapEx figures, preparing bid packages, and reviewing third-party invoices
- Oversee projects to ensure execution aligns strictly with the established design intent

- Proven professional background in architectural design or construction engineering, with a minimum of 4 years' experience
- Expert knowledge of Revit, BIM 360, CAD applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of construction engineering, BIM processes, and local building codes and zoning laws
- Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and consultant relationships to ensure timely delivery
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills, capable of translating complex problems into clear plans for leadership
- Positive, fast-learner attitude with a passion for manufacturing infrastructure and a willingness to travel
- Experience with 3D scanning, authority management, and project management fundamentals is highly desirable
