Job description We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake DBT Developer with at least 5+ years of experience in cloud data warehousing, data transformation, and modern ELT development. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake DBT as the primary skill, along with good working knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts. The candidate should be capable of working independently in a fast-paced delivery environment and managing end-to-end data transformation and analytics engineering deliverables.
Qualification • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehousing projects. • Strong hands-on experience in DBT (mandatory and primary skill), with expertise in developing and maintaining scalable data transformation pipelines. • Good working knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, and modern ELT best practices.
Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data transformation solutions using Snowflake DBT. • Build and maintain robust ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting. • Develop and optimize DBT models, macros, snapshots, seeds, and tests to support enterprise data platforms. • Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient and reusable data transformation solutions. • Perform data quality checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DBT models and Snowflake workloads. • Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. • Ensure adherence to coding standards, data governance policies, best practices, and documentation requirements. • Participate in code reviews, release deployments, and CI/CD processes for DBT projects. • Independently manage assigned deliverables and provide production support for critical data transformation workflows.
Required Skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehousing. • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake DBT development and implementation. • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills. • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schemas. • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployment frameworks. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
