Maintain HSBC internal control standards, ensuring timely remediation of audit findings and regulatory issues, while delivering accurate financial reporting, planning and insight to support business decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Group and local MI/reporting, including Flash & Actual Profit and Loss (P&L), detailed MI (Management Information) packs with commentary, Cognos (TM1), cost centre reporting, and Assets Under Management (AUM) reporting by asset class and customer group.

- Deliver quarter-end and year-end Group submissions.

- Produce detailed variance and performance analysis with commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet, AUM/ Group Sales Report (GSR), run-rate, outlook).

- Lead Annual Operating Plan, Rolling Operating Plan and Financial Resource Plan cycles, including stakeholder challenge, negotiation and alignment.

- Prepare local monthly reporting packs for Exco and all Senior Management decks

- Respond to monthly and ad-hoc reporting requests from local/regional stakeholders.

- Perform expense analysis (line-by-line) and provide actionable insights.

- Assess product profitability and prepare/review fully loaded P&Ls for new/existing products.

- Ensure adherence to Group Compliance Policy and maintain strong operational risk awareness within the role.

- Partner with senior Finance and business stakeholders; drive strong financial discipline and identify revenue uplift/cost-saving opportunities in consultation with the CFO.

Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
Knowledge and Experience

- Professional qualification in Accountancy or Management Graduation (CA/MBA)

- Work experience of 2-6 years in the BFSI space.
