Job Description
The role
As a member of the Global Service Delivery team and within the Global Talent Acquisition function, aligned to the Global Talent & Development Centre of Excellence within Global HR, you will deliver talent intelligence activities that provide market insights, competitor intelligence, talent mapping and research to inform talent acquisition and broader talent planning decisions across Clifford Chance.
Working closely with Talent Acquisition colleagues, HR Business Partners and business stakeholders, you will conduct research and analysis to identify talent opportunities, understand market trends and enhance intelligence-led decision making. Through talent mapping, market analysis and competitor insights, you will contribute to a more proactive and informed approach to attracting, engaging and retaining talent aligned to the firm's strategic priorities.
The role takes a longer-term view of talent markets, talent flows, emerging skills and competitor activity, helping the firm build a deeper understanding of the external talent landscape and future talent opportunities.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition colleagues, HR Business Partners and business stakeholders, providing market intelligence, talent insights and research that enhances recruitment and talent planning discussions.
You will also work alongside the Client Insights & Business Intelligence team within Business Development & Marketing and colleagues across Global HR, sharing expertise and insight to support wider business objectives.
You will work globally, partnering with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, practice areas and time zones.
What you will be responsible for
You will be responsible for delivering talent intelligence, market research and talent mapping activities that support talent acquisition and broader workforce planning initiatives across the firm.
Your time will primarily be focused on:
- Talent intelligence and market research
- Competitor and talent market monitoring
- Talent mapping and candidate identification
- Insight generation and reporting
- Stakeholder collaboration and advisory input
- Employer brand and talent market insights
- Research technology and process enhancement

You will provide intelligence and analysis that enhances talent decision making and enables a more informed, data-driven approach to talent acquisition and talent planning.
What you will do
Talent Intelligence & Market Insights
- Monitor and analyse legal talent markets, competitor firms and industry developments.
- Track talent movement across key markets, practice areas and competitor organisations.
- Conduct research into talent availability, emerging skills, workforce trends and market developments.
- Produce talent intelligence briefings, market updates and insight reports.
- Identify talent opportunities aligned to strategic hiring priorities.
- Translate research findings into practical insights and recommendations.
- Maintain knowledge of key talent markets, competitor activity and emerging trends.
Talent Mapping & Research
- Deliver talent mapping and research projects across key markets, practice areas and Global Product Groups.
- Identify relevant talent pools, competitor organisations and external talent populations.
- Develop talent maps and market intelligence aligned to current and future hiring priorities.
- Monitor talent movement and market developments across strategically important talent segments.
- Conduct targeted market research for critical hiring and talent planning initiatives.
- Maintain visibility of external talent aligned to business growth priorities.
- Enhance talent pipeline development through research and talent market insight.
Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct competitor research and market monitoring activities.
- Track organisational developments, hiring trends and talent movement across competitor firms.
- Produce competitor intelligence reports and market updates.
- Identify market trends that may influence talent acquisition strategies.
- Highlight talent opportunities, market risks and emerging developments.
- Share competitor insight that enhances understanding of the firm's position within the legal talent market.
Talent Community Intelligence
- Provide market intelligence and talent mapping insights that enhance talent community and pipeline development activities.
- Identify and segment relevant external talent populations.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition colleagues to strengthen talent communities within CRM and ATS platforms.
- Provide visibility of talent movement and emerging opportunities across key markets.
- Contribute insights that inform talent engagement strategies and pipeline planning.
- Develop market intelligence that supports proactive engagement with priority talent populations.
Insight Generation & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Produce talent intelligence reports, dashboards, presentations and market briefings.
- Deliver insights that inform talent acquisition, workforce planning and talent discussions.
- Present findings and recommendations to Talent Acquisition and HR stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand talent intelligence requirements and provide relevant market insight.
- Contribute analytical expertise to strategic talent initiatives and projects.
- Identify talent market developments that may influence future talent attraction and retention activity.
Employer Brand & Talent Market Insights
- Partner with Employer Brand and Talent Acquisition colleagues to provide insight into target talent populations.
- Deliver market intelligence that informs talent attraction campaigns and engagement activity.
- Identify emerging themes, candidate expectations and market trends that shape attraction strategies.
- Provide insight into competitor positioning and external talent perceptions.
- Contribute analysis that strengthens market visibility and engagement with priority talent communities.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Utilise talent intelligence platforms, CRM systems, ATS technologies and external data sources to support research and analysis.
- Apply AI-enabled tools and automation techniques to enhance intelligence gathering and insight generation.
- Identify opportunities to improve research methodologies, reporting and analytical outputs.
- Maintain awareness of emerging talent intelligence technologies and market practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and scalability of talent intelligence activities.
Qualifications
Your experience
- Experience in talent intelligence, executive search research, talent mapping, market intelligence, workforce intelligence or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering research and analysis to inform recruitment, talent acquisition or workforce planning decisions.
- Experience producing talent maps, market insights, competitor analysis and research-based recommendations.
- Experience communicating insights, findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with talent intelligence platforms, research tools, CRM systems, ATS technologies and external market data sources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify insights from complex information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Good project management and organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and professional judgement.
- Interest in talent market dynamics, competitor activity, workforce trends and emerging skills.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation or technology to enhance research and analysis activities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a global team environment.
- European language skills preferred, including German, Spanish or French.
