Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead strategic planning initiatives for our established real estate development organization based in North Coast, Egypt This is a senior leadership position ideal for a visionary professional with 20+ years of real estate planning expertise who can drive organizational growth, shape long-term development strategies, and oversee complex portfolio management in a dynamic market environment.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic planning frameworks that align with organizational objectives and market opportunities in the Egyptian real estate sector
- Lead master planning initiatives for large-scale development projects, ensuring feasibility, profitability, and regulatory compliance
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and demographic data to inform planning decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Oversee budget planning, financial forecasting, and resource allocation across multiple projects and departments
- Manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders including architects, engineers, government agencies, and investors
- Establish planning policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance operational efficiency and project delivery
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for planning-related challenges
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and board-level stakeholders
- Stay current with regulatory changes, zoning laws, and compliance requirements specific to coastal and regional development
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in real estate planning, development, or related strategic planning roles
- Proven expertise in master planning, feasibility studies, and large-scale project portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian real estate market dynamics, regulations, and development practices
- Demonstrated experience with budget planning, financial modeling, and P&L management
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in market research methodologies
- Experience leading and managing high-performing teams in a corporate environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preferred: Experience with Middle East/North Africa real estate markets
- Preferred: Background in coastal or mixed-use development projects
