We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Operations .

In this role, you will:

- Global Custody Tax Service team is to assist HSBC custody client to obtain their favorable tax on the Dividend/Interest payment by ensure the physical/electronic tax documents are in place with our agent before the market deadline. We are also liaising with multiple foreign authorities on audit inspections.

- To understand withholding tax services that HSBC Custodian bank provides to the client. Dealing with tax agent and tax advisors discussion for tax knowledge. Able to deal with multiple parties with different function as Tax team would be the last stage of a corporate event

- To provide guidance to our client to perform tax claim filing for a favorable tax rate upon receive the dividend payment before the tax reclaim filing statute of limitation. The job holder is responsible to provide support and proactively manage good repo with stakeholder, client, account manager, Client Service in all tax related issues.
- To prepare and present Process market intel & actively Attend business as usual related meetings with internal/external parties. Liaise and collaborate with IT to resolve operational issues from the business-as-usual Processing system and participate in User acceptance tests as and when required.
- To effectively and efficiently, plan and control the daily activities of an area of responsibility within the Tax services department.  To ensure these activities meet predetermined quality standards and critical deadlines, thus contributing to a high-quality markets and security services client service without negative regulatory impact.
- Responsible for maintaining HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external auditors.
- Undertake the relevant measures to perform any additional responsibilities that may be essential in order to provide continuous support for specific projects, on-going management and development of the process.

To be successful, you will:

- Ability to build and maintain relations with business units and continuously give feedback by stringent follow up on service level agreements. Strong technical skills evidenced by achievement of objectives with strong organization and planning skills along with the ability to handle resources effectively as well as comprehensive MI reporting.
- Evidence of strong analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends, make projections and to interpret numeric information. Evidence of strong operational decision making and be able to provide analytical support to the teams.
- Evidence of process management skills with an ability to initiate process improvements. Adherence to company policies and industry regulations within the team
- Enhance team productivity and implement new workflow and tools.
- Introduce new initiatives or processes that enhance operational efficiency or client satisfaction. Improve cross department collaboration, build stronger relationship with other departments, ensuring smooth communication to achieve the results.

- Good Knowledge in Excel (Formularise & Macro).
- Corporate Action and Trade Settlement Knowledge and GCS (Global Custody System) & BaNCS system Navigation) experience.
- Good understanding about Xceptor Knowledge.
