Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) – EDI Onboarding Specialist

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

- EDI Onboarding & Integration
- Lead onboarding of new trading partners using Sterling B2B Integrator
- Configure and maintain trading partner profiles, envelopes, and communication setups
- Develop and manage integration workflows for EDI transactions and B2B data exchange
- Perform end-to-end integration testing with trading partners
- Promote validated configurations to production environments
- EDI & Technical Support
- Support EDI transactions such as Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, and other supply chain documents
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI processing, data translation, and connectivity
- Monitor data flows and ensure successful transmission between systems and partners
- Manage AS2, FTPS, VAN, and other communication protocols, including certificate renewals
- Address production issues and ensure SLA adherence for incident resolution [DXC RBS Da...ities 2025 | PowerPoint]
- Business Analysis & Application Support
- Work closely with business teams to understand EDI requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform root cause analysis for integration and data issues
- Act as a liaison between business teams and external vendors to resolve EDI-related challenges
- Provide ongoing application support and maintenance for SBI and related integration platforms
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor onboarding and issue resolution
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, business teams, upstream/downstream systems)
- Ensure smooth communication and resolution of onboarding and production issues
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Collaborate across teams including application support, integration development, and infrastructure
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with:

- IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SB2Bi)
- EDI Onboarding / Integration
- Business Analysis and Application Support [SBI/EDI En...Specialist | Outlook]
- Hands-on experience with EDI standards:
- ANSI X12
- EDIFACT
- XML
- IDocs

Technical Expertise

- Trading partner setup, onboarding, and configuration
- AS2 communication setup and certificate management
- File transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, VAN
- EDI mapping, translation, and troubleshooting
- Experience with integration ecosystems and data flow monitoring

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in B2B/EDI integration using Sterling SB2Bi
- Experience in onboarding and supporting trading partner integrations
- Prior experience in production support and incident management environments

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, support-driven environment
- Capability to mentor and guide team members

Working Conditions

- Must be available to work Eastern Time Zone (ET) hours
- Ability to support production environments and coordinate with global teams if required
- Preferably Detroit, Michigan area – but open to other physical locations

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in supply chain / retail EDI environments
- Familiarity with integration tools such as Informatica, TIBCO, or Mulesoft [DXC RBS Da...ities 2025 | PowerPoint]
- Understanding of BPML workflows and Sterling process modeling
- Exposure to CI/CD and automation in integration environments (nice to have)
