About this role
The Position
As a trusted financial business partner and subject-matter expert for the Pharma Supply network, you will create financial transparency, provide decision-relevant insights, and influence operational and strategic decisions. In close collaboration with senior stakeholders, project teams, and local controlling organizations, you will translate business objectives into financial targets and advance controlling processes and reporting solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to shape financial performance across a global supply network, contribute to high-impact strategic projects, and influence decisions in an international, cross-functional environment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- You will own the financial business partnership with Supply Network Managers and senior stakeholders, proactively guiding target achievement and powering sound decisions through insight, foresight, and integrity.
- Furthermore, you will drive financial transparency across the Pharma Supply Network by leading consistent analysis, reporting, planning, and performance reviews that strengthen performance and enable confident action.
- Generating and delivering actionable insights on International Cost Operations, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), capital expenditure, inventory valuation, forecasts, and business cases, turning data into clear recommendations and measurable impact, will be part of your responsibility.
- Moreover, you will take ownership of reviewing intercompany invoices and financial Co-arrangements for compliance with contractual obligations and applicable procedures, thereby safeguarding integrity and the company’s freedom to operate.
- With your experience you will lead and contribute to the development and standardization of controlling methodologies, processes, systems, and planning tools, and translate best practices into scalable solutions that advance operational excellence and future-ready ways of working.
- In addition, you will lead and contribute to strategic projects and ad hoc analyses, actively shape their outcomes, and present clear recommendations to management that clarify options, risks, and trade-offs and support long-term value creation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, diploma, or comparable qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Several years of relevant experience and a strong track record in operations controlling
- Profound expertise in financial analysis, planning, reporting, accounting principles, and the accounting and tax implications of business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with AfO, SAP ERP, SAP BCS, SCORE, or comparable tools is advantageous
- Strong project leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguity and solve complex finance and business challenges
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, combined with a collaborative, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach
- Intercultural competence and experience working with international partners in a global environment
