Parent Counsellor
### Job Summary
The Parent Counsellor in the FDP Department will provide guidance and support to parents in understanding and addressing their child’s educational and developmental needs. The role involves working closely with families, educators, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies that support the child’s academic progress, emotional well-being, and overall development.
### Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct counselling sessions with parents to understand their concerns and provide appropriate guidance and support.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to develop individualized learning and support plans for students.
- Provide parents with relevant information and resources regarding educational programs, support services, and child development.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback and guidance to parents.
- Identify areas of concern related to a child’s academic, behavioural, social, or emotional development and recommend appropriate interventions or support.
- Maintain appropriate records of counselling sessions, parent interactions, student progress, and follow-up actions.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, awareness sessions, and training programs for parents on child development, learning, behaviour, and other educational topics.
