We want you to support the team making programmes, so we are looking for someone who can communicate with people at all levels and who can pay attention to detail. You’ll learn valuable skills as you develop your career with UTV.
We're also looking for a person who will help ensure our coverage represents the people and backgrounds of everyone in our community.
So, if you’re a confident communicator with proven organisational and administrative skills, plus a real desire to work for the UTV news and programmes operation, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of production and completion of administrative support for the UTV programmes department
- Gallery operation and the ability to multi-skill, shifting seamlessly from one duty to another if necessary.
- Booking filming logistics, including camera operators and editors, plus tracking and monitoring so production follows a planned schedule
- Arranging travel and accommodation
- Post programme paperwork, including for music cue sheets and 3rd party material;
- Liaising with producers to ensure delivery of promos, billings, synopses and subtitles by deadline;
- Assisting teams to achieve Albert Accreditation;
- Providing support to the team in the form of research, transcribing and sourcing props/filming locations.
- Processing programme-related payments through Procurement, Expenses & Talent Payment systems;
- Media Management
- Deal with sensitive content, liaising with third-party organisations and other parts of ITV
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Technical proficiency with digital software, including Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and standard office technologies.
- Proven experience in administrative coordination, workflow management, and prioritising operational tasks.
- Demonstrated track record of handling complex administrative queries, issue resolution, and applying sound judgement independently.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask, delegate appropriately, and manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive self-starter who brings commitment, high energy, and a positive, motivated approach to their work.
- Confident, calm, and approachable under pressure, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across multi-skilled teams.
- A collaborative team player who knows how to get the best out of people and adapt to new skills, tools, and ways of working.
- A genuine passion for working in broadcast, streaming and digital media.

ITV is for Everyone, and we want to ensure that UTV reflects our audience both on screen and in our teams. We encourage applications from Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent people and People of Colour to help us achieve our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals.
We work in busy and pressurised environments, involving live production, which often requires colleagues to make quick decisions under pressure. We also need people who are able to use their initiative.
We need to test these abilities at the interview stage to understand how candidates will react when operating in such an environment. This is a fundamental requirement of the role. We will always consider any request for reasonable adjustments as part of the interview process, for example, sharing key themes when that is requested in connection with a neurodivergent condition, whilst still ensuring that we are able to test a candidate's ability to operate in the specific environment of a newsroom.
