Job Summary:

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a Assembly Technician - Switchgear is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires electrical and mechanical assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Duties:

- Assemble switchgear lineups, electrical enclosures, and power distribution equipment according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Install and mount breakers, bus systems, relays, switches, transformers, metering devices, and associated components.
- Verify proper alignment, torque, labeling, and installation of electrical and mechanical components.
- Maintain production documentation and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Assist with packaging, shipment preparation, and inventory activities as needed.

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, switchgear manufacturing, control panel assembly, or related industrial production.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical components, power distribution systems, and wiring practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- US work authorization without sponsorship required
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
- Ability to stoop and bend required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
- Excellent manual dexterity required
