JOB DESCRIPTION FOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR 1. Prepare tender and contract documents including ‘Bill of Quantities’ as per the tender drawings given by the Architect/Consultants. This involves quantifying as per the drawings and arriving at accurate quantities, framing specification descriptions in detail, arriving at the rates with detailed rate analysis etc. 2. Scrutinize the bills submitted by the various contractors. Prepare payment advise for the running/prefinal/final bills. This involves taking/verifying site measurements. Travelling to sites across different geological locations to take site measurements. 3. Quantity surveyor will be responsible in preparation of ‘Reconciliation statements’ for all consumables at site like steel, cement, tiles, etc. 4. Quantity surveyor is expected to scrutinize services bills such as Electrical, PHE, Firefighting, STP services, etc and also amenities such as swimming pools etc. 5. ‘Variation statements’ to be prepared if there are any changes in GFC drawings or any changes made due to site condition. The cost management plan to be updated accordingly. 6. Rate analysis to be prepared for non-tendered items. Assist the reporting manager to finalize the rates. 7. Keep a track of inventory at site. Analyse the requirements submitted by site staff before placing the order. 8. Assisting the reporting manager in preparing the budgets and other proposals relevant to the project. 9. Preparing the amendment orders as and when required 10. Quantity surveyor should assist in issuance of work/purchase orders. 11. Quantity surveyor is expected to assist the reporting manager on other relevant activities as well.
REQUIREMENT 1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 2. Minimum of 5 years of quantity surveyor experience in professional companies 3. Through knowledge of Indian code books, BIS, NBC, method of measurements etc 4. Knowledge of services such as Electrical, PHE, Fire fighting, STP, and amenities such as Swimming pools
