Compassionate Private Caregiver – 32 Hours/Week (Largo, FL)
Are you a dedicated caregiver looking for a meaningful, stable opportunity? We are seeking a dependable, patient, and compassionate Private Caregiver to provide daily support for our wonderful elderly mother living at the beautiful community of The Palms of Largo .
You will join a supportive team of two other caregivers, focusing on helping her maintain her dignity, comfort, and safety in her own apartment. If you love providing one-on-one care and making a genuine difference, we would love to meet you!
❤️ What You Will Do
- Personal Care & Support: Assist with bathing, dressing, and daily personal-care needs to keep her safe and comfortable.
- Companionship & Outings: Drive and accompany her to shopping, doctors' appointments, and fun outings using your vehicle.
- Daily Well-being: Prepare delicious meals, handle light housekeeping, manage laundry, and help keep track of prescription refills.
- Pet Care: Take her sweet, small Yorkie for regular daily walks.
Schedule & Predictable Hours
- Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week (Set, predictable schedule).
- Shifts: A mix of daytime shifts ( 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM ) and evening shifts ( 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM ).
✔️ Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Strong background caring for older adults, with an empathetic, understanding approach.
- Mobility Support: Ability to safely assist a client with an unsteady gait, including the physical capability to reach, bend, kneel, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a safe driving record.
- Compliance: High school diploma (preferred), ability to pass a mandatory Criminal Background Check, and strict adherence to the facility's non-smoking policy (no drug use).
- Proximity: Living near the Largo area is highly preferred.
