GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

A Manager of District Operations provides the initiative, skills and leadership required to manage technical employees responsible for constructing, operating, testing, and maintaining AECC’s electrical transmission system within an assigned district. We’re looking for someone who can coordinate and assist with the construction, operations, and maintenance activities of the Member Cooperatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manages and coordinates the installation, maintenance, and testing of AECC's or Member Cooperatives' substations and transmission facilities in accordance with the Reliability Maintenance and Testing Program.

- Maintains records on all tests and maintenance procedures and forwards those records, including NERC evidence, through management for retention in accordance with the Reliability Maintenance and Testing Program.

- Oversees the inspection, use, and documentation of AECC, DOT, and other maintenance logs and inspection forms for AECC's district vehicles, trailers, mobile substations and assigned drivers within the district.

- Produces schedules for maintenance and testing of district assets through use of Avantis Enterprise Management System.

- Coordinates the operations, and inspection of all of substations and transmission line assets within assigned district as required. Ensures that all records are maintained on substation equipment including protective systems, substation oil-filled equipment, and assigned transmission assets.

- Maintains test equipment and tools used in the operation, testing, and maintenance of substations and transmission lines.

- Responsible for ensuring the safety of district personnel engaged in the operations and maintenance of substations.

- Plans, coordinates, and conducts safety meetings on a monthly basis. Works with other Power Delivery Managers in creating and maintaining a skill assessment technical training program and a technician skills evaluation process.

- Maintains the district's inventory of parts and supplies used in substation operations and maintenance.

- Instructs and trains personnel and member cooperatives' personnel upon request

- Manages the preparation of the Capital and O&M budgets for assigned area of responsibility. Appraises and supervises the performance of staff and offers guidance related to growth and development.

- Prepares, opens, and closes Work Orders and purchase orders for district tools, equipment, vehicles, and other necessary items.

- Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.

- Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- College coursework or training equal to 2 years of college, plus 8 years related experience including 5 years management experience, or equivalent combination or education and experience.

- Ability to travel to various locations throughout the state of Arkansas.

- This position is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to maintain service continuity on the transmission system within the district.
