MDT Case Coordinator - Child Advocacy Center

Come Join the Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center as a part-time, approximately 22.50 hours per week, Case Coordinator! Catholic Charities Washtenaw seeks an experienced professional to help coordinate critical support for child victims and their non-offending caregivers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

- Work to reduce trauma to child victims.

- Facilitate access to appropriate services including law enforcement, children’s protective services, medical providers, and prosecutors.

- Manage the complex forensic interview scheduling process of suspected sexually assaulted child victims.

- Assists the Crisis Counselor with appropriate referrals for mental health treatment and/or other services and with crisis counseling of victim families.

- Work Collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of community partners including law enforcement, child protective services, and the county prosecutor’s office.

- Will perform case tracking, maintain statistical data, and serve as a back-up for the Crisis Counselor when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice or a related field with 5 years’ experience in child abuse, crisis intervention, child development, and/or criminal justice system.

- Master’s degree preferred.

- Ability to relate to children and adults of all ages, race, and socio-economic backgrounds.

- Proficiency in oral and written communication.

- Strong organizational skills.
