S. Clyde Weaver is hiring a part-time Farmer's Market Associate at our farmer's market stand in the Lancaster County Farmer's Market in Wayne, PA!
The hours for this part-time position are between 20-28 hours per week. Work days are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Employees receive free lunch and employee discounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
- Stocking/building case displays
- Product preparation
- Help with market stand set up and tear down
- Cleaning and sanitizing market cases
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
- Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
- Answer all customer questions and address concerns
- Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
- Handle all transactions with accuracy
- Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
- Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
- Additional sanitation and market support as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of retail experience desired
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
