Purpose

The incumbent will monitor and manage Portfolios and Countries Compliance with Reporting Conditions, OARS, Bring Forward, Financial Covenants, Deliveries, among other obligations over assigned Borrowers and Clients. The role is responsible for bringing insights by promptly and proactively communicating potential alerts and credit issues to stakeholders, ensuring timely intervention and proactivity. They will ensure that the bank has proper controls and monitoring across teams and portfolio, and identify gaps in said controls and monitoring. Importance of the role as the first line of defense, leading a strong risk culture, and effectively monitoring unusual activity of the assigned portfolio.

What You'll Do:

- Proactively review portfolio Reporting Conditions, Covenants Monitoring, OARS Status and overall deliveries to ensure proper account coverage by stakeholders.

- Monitors and supervise correct usage of C360 by Structuring & Execution teams.

- Monitor client portfolio trends and alert potential risks, exceptions or non-compliance (e.g. ARA, DPD, SOFIA) within Banking on a regional level; communicate outcomes to stakeholders, including but not limited to IB GBM Regional Leaders, GRM as well as oversee escalation processes to respective stakeholders. ensuring proper documentation and follow-up

- Track and report trends on overdrafts, overruns, and other exceptions, ensuring portfolio quality is maintained within approved limits

- Create periodic reports on industries, segments, and sub-segments and share trends and insights with wider team and partners, integrating 1) quality assurance findings from peer file reviews, and 2) Client Profitability Models

- Lead quality assurance activities by conducting periodic reviews of corporate loan processes, and coordinate functions with Banking Portfolio Analyst (PA) teams in the countries for regional alignment and strategies’ execution

- Review correct information on ARA.

- Identify early signs and trends of credit risk (e.g. delinquency, PCL impacts) and report to RMs/CSMs and Senior Management for timely intervention

- Leverage the early warning tools to identify trends and insights

- Report and alert annual reviews, term loan renewals, early warnings, and unusual transaction reports outstanding at the portfolio level

- Organize and lead designated Banking governance meetings to ensure timely follow-up on alerts and facilitate effective risk management discussions

- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

- The Banking Portfolio Manager (PM) will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and supporting all IB Corporate countries, in coordination with the respective Country S&E Team Leaders

- Develop internal tracking tools (via Power BI or any other tool available) to automate processes and allow for better tracking/monitoring

What You'll Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

- Fluency in English and Spanish is required

- Work experience in portfolio analysis, portfolio management, and financial analysis within the banking or financial services industry. Experience in Credit is preferable

- IT knowledge / background for power BI tool creation

- Data analysis and comprehensive understanding of portfolio management, financial statements and industry trends. Knowledge in risk metrics, risk assessment techniques and Commercial Banking (processes, products and services).

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including AML/ATF regulations and operational risk management frameworks is a plus.

- Ability to provide analytical insights.

- Good Interpersonal and team working skills.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications e.g. MS Outlook, MS Teams and technology platforms (e.g. Sales Force, Power BI, Tableau
