Holiday Candle Studio Associate (Temporary)

Position Summary

Love making things with your hands? Join the Bright Endeavors candle studio in East Garfield Park this holiday season. You'll help bring our handcrafted soy candles, incense, reed diffusers, and gift items to life, from pouring and finishing to packing orders for our customers.

You'll rotate through production, product finishing, and fulfillment, so no two days look quite the same. This role is a great fit if you enjoy crafts, take pride in the details, and like following a process to get a beautiful result every time. Every product you touch supports New Moms' job training programs for young families in Chicago.

What you'll do

- Pour, finish, and label candles, incense, reed diffusers, and gift items

- Clean and prep candle vessels, pouring pots, and studio equipment

- Pack and ship customer orders during our busiest season

- Keep the production floor and fulfillment bay organized

- Assist our Operations Coordinators with daily studio tasks

You might be a fit if you

- Enjoy crafts, DIY projects, or hands-on creative work

- Like clear processes and notice small details

- Are comfortable on your feet in a busy, physically active studio

- Have experience in production, retail stockroom, fulfillment, or food service (helpful, not required)

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent

The details

- Hourly Wage: $17.50/hour

- Location: 627 N Albany Ave, Chicago

- Schedule: 20 hours/week, flexible between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday

- Perks: 50% off Bright Endeavors products, plus paid sick leave accrual (available on day 30)

- Temporary role, not eligible for benefits or holiday pay

Physical requirements
This role involves standing or sitting for extended periods, using stairs, and occasionally lifting items up to 50 to 60 pounds, with team lift available. Reasonable accommodations are available. The studio can have varying noise levels
