About this role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hotel housekeeping team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned hotel areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and other guest supplies.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, floors, furniture, and other room areas.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and perform other routine cleaning duties.
- Replenish toiletries and in-room amenities as needed.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing items.
- Report maintenance problems, damaged items, or lost-and-found articles to the appropriate department.
- Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Respond courteously to guest requests when required.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned public or back-of-house areas.
- Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred.
- Hospitality/hotel experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift during the work shift.
- Ability to lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and hotel standards.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays .
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: This position requires prolonged standing/walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and move housekeeping supplies and equipment.
