Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Program Management, or a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in balancing project plans, risks, issues, and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets. The ideal candidate will excel at planning, managing, and leading activities of cross-functional teams and provide business expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing solutions that meet strategic stakeholder requirements. They should also ensure efficient workflow and resolution of technical issues, facilitating communication and documentation to enhance project development and execution.

Duties and Tasks:

- Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements

- Establishes and maintains internal customer relationships to ensure understanding of business strategies

- Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs on a unique US Space Force contract

- Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters

- Responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships across Business Operations and our business partners, vendors, and external organizations communicating value, building customer intimacy, tuning/optimizing processes, and supporting business needs with technology solutions that are strategic and value-added

- Manages and prioritizes the initiatives, working with business partners and/or IT to determine initiative requirements, definition, scope, timeline

- Gathers and organizes data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of the project

- Develops test plans and preventative maintenance programs

- Track record demonstrating ability to develop relationships, formal and informal networks across geographic boundaries to influence, coordinate, communicate, and organize groups/teams

- Evaluates needs and recommends business/technical solutions. Manages customer expectations and seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships

- Partners with IT and/or business customers to understand critical and strategic needs and key success factors

- Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources

- Establishes work methodology and sequence to gather and organize data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of the project

- Maintains records, compiles reports, graphs, charts, and related data in support of projects

- Continuously improve project management processes and tools within the organization

- Demonstrated ability to understand and become familiar with the Waterfall, Hybrid, and Lean-Agile mindset, principles, and practices, including DevSecOps, Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban

- Demonstrates a substantial, advanced, and significant ability to communicate clearly, both in written and verbal forms

- Demonstrates ability to create and deliver executive style presentations and communications, including the ability to: anticipate, influence, and adapt to a wide range of audiences, building consensus to facilitate decision making

- Demonstrates strong communication, listening, and change leadership skills, including verbal, written, counseling, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation abilities for both internal and external audiences

- A track record of exercising independent judgment appropriately, and the ability to quickly understand and execute complex assignments when working on high profile outcomes with inherent risk

- Advanced in recognizing overall strategic and tactical objectives and set interim and overarching goals to achieve them

- Supports GDMS culture and strategy and comply with all policies and procedures

- Demonstrated relationship building skills (people skills, high emotional intelligence, empathy, ability to connect with others)

- Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives

- Experience in organizational change management principles including leading change, building a coalition, anticipating resistance to change, designing/implementing appropriate strategies, institutionalizing change

- Demonstrate ability to lead initiatives and modest projects, a facility to handle multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously

- Demonstrates ability to work with uncertainty, resistance, barriers, issues, and challenges in an everchanging business environment, converting uncertainty into quantifiable impact, risk, and mitigating actions

## Combined Salary Range
USD $116,717.00 - USD $126,292.00 /Yr.
