Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth

As a Volunteer with Rite of Passage, youll have the opportunity to support and encourage youth while working alongside a dedicated team. Youll work in an assigned area under the guidance of a designated supervisor and help create a safe, positive, and supportive environment for both students and staff.

What Youll Do

- Encourage and support students and staff by providing guidance and resources when needed.

- Help maintain and model the programs standards, expectations, and positive behaviors.

- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students and staff.

- Follow approved safety and physical-management procedures when required.Follow Rite of Passage policies, procedures, and applicable licensing requirements.

- Participate in required meetings, training, and staff development opportunities.

- Complete other duties as assigned to support the needs of the program.

What Youll Need

To become an approved volunteer, you must:

- Complete all required volunteer approval steps before working independently with students.

- Complete the Volunteer/Intern Application and Volunteer Agreement.

- Sign required confidentiality, ethics, background-check, child-abuse prevention, drug-free workplace, and medical-information authorization documents.

- Be at least 21 years old , unless prior approval is provided by the Program Director.

- Successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

- Be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
