About Wellstar Medical Group
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our growing cancer program. This unique 1.0 FTE opportunity offers a split practice model between our Paulding and Douglas locations, providing comprehensive radiation oncology services across two thriving communities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary cancer care team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Position Highlights
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) Radiation Oncologist position
- Shared clinical responsibilities between Paulding and Douglas offices

- Collaborative multidisciplinary team including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiology, pathology, and supportive care services

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive radiation oncology evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care for patients with a wide range of malignancies.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced radiation therapy techniques.
- Collaborate closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, primary care physicians, and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, and supportive resources.
- Participate in community outreach, physician education, and cancer program growth initiatives as appropriate.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
- Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical licensure
- DEA certification or eligibility
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and collaborative team-based care
About the Practice
The successful candidate will join a well-established oncology network focused on delivering high-quality cancer care close to home. This position allows the physician to practice across both the Paulding and Douglas/West Georgia markets, supporting access to advanced cancer treatments while maintaining continuity of care for patients throughout the region.
