Expected Duration: Immediate start through mid-November
Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts

At Iris Memory Care of Edmond, we're not a big, busy facility. We're a small, close-knit memory care community where every team member knows our residents by name, their stories, and what makes them smile. Our residents are living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, and a clean, calm, familiar home is a big part of how we care for them.
About This Role
One of our housekeeping team members is out for a while, and we need a dependable, caring person to help keep our community clean, safe, and comfortable in the meantime. This is a short-term contract role, but it is no less important. You'll be part of the team from day one, and our residents will feel the difference you make.
This is a great fit if you're looking for temporary work, want to get a feel for senior living, or simply enjoy work that matters.
What You'll Do
- Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily schedule
- Handle resident laundry and linens with care, keeping personal items organized and returned to the right place
- Empty trash, restock supplies, and keep hallways and shared spaces tidy and free of hazards
- Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to leadership right away
- Greet and interact with residents warmly and patiently. In memory care, a kind word matters as much as a clean room
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred; senior living, hospital, or hotel experience a plus
- Reliable, on time, and able to work independently once trained
- Patient, gentle, and comfortable around older adults living with dementia
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout a shift
- Able to start quickly and commit to the full contract period
- Must pass a background check
