## Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Controls Engineer provides controls and electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and new projects. The candidate assists maintenance in supporting the plant through trouble shooting & problem-solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer such as also putting controls to avoid them.  The Controls Engineer will also write. Create, and modify programs to meet the plant objectives. The main missions of the role are:

- Evaluate, trouble shoot, develop, design and implement manufacturing process controls for all assigned programs to ensure high quality, productivity, and cost efficiencies.
- Provide plant-wide controls engineering support and engineering reports as needed.
- Support the Quality Department on customer issues and during QRCI.
- Provide support to the maintenance department in equipment trouble shooting to eliminate downtime.
- Train production and maintenance personnel in the proper operation and maintenance of controls applicable to safe and proper machine operation
- Regularly review processes and procedures for safety, quality and production efficiency, including vendor controls and machine process quality
- Maintain PFMEA and all downstream documents for minor changes.
- Provide justification for standards changes.
- Provide / update parts drawing (mechanical and electrical) to maintenance.
- Stay informed of environmental aspects, follow procedures and work to eliminate or reduce the PFMEA ratings as relates to position and/or department.
- Stay informed of quality issues and opportunities as relates to position and/or department; participates in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement events.
- Follow procedures and corrective action assignments as required to eliminate or reduce PPM’s.
- Promote and ensure the respect of the code of ethics and code of management.
- Conducts research on product and process deficiencies and recommends modifications in products, process methods, or quality standards where warranted.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with all government regulations, IATF16949 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Audits and APQP standards.
- Submit/implement at least two improvement ideas per month.
- Commit to the highest ethical standards and adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
- Assist other departments to secure the quality of the product.
- Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental.

## Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be: strong sense of teamwork, results oriented with strong communication skills, and possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize

Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including at least one position in Manufacturing Engineering
- Trained in the Faurecia Excellence System
- Manufacturing or related experience preferred.

Skills and competencies

- Ability to interface with all other functions and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Auto CAD, Allen-Bradley software/programming, robot programming and Electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
- Must be knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods.
- Fluent in English

Physical Requirements

- Exposed to heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
- Job involves lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and safety anti-cut sleeves required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts, and product
