Executive Communications Manager

Job Description The Combat Mission Systems team is looking for a seasoned Executive Communications Manager to develop and lead its executive communications and crisis communications efforts. The Executive Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing communications strategies that support senior leadership and the organizations objectives. This includes developing employee engagement strategies, speech writing, video scripts, media messaging, social media management on individual accounts, as well as managing internal and external events to ensure effective audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communications Counsel: Provide guidance to executives and leadership teams on messaging and strategies to best motivate our internal workforce.
- Strategic Communications Execution: Create strategic executive communications plans with clearly defined goals, objectives, and key performance indicators to measure against. Execute said plans and report on how they’re performing regularly.
- Content Development: Create speeches, presentations, and other materials for executive team.
- Event Coordination: Plan and manage executive events, including internal town halls, executive-level visits, and external engagements.
- Web and Social Media Management: Oversee executive-level web content and social media presence.
- Leadership Platform Development: Manage speaker placements and prepare executives for public engagements.
- Crisis Management: Develop crisis response strategies to scenarios ranging from workplace incidents, environmental impacts to a facility or our workforce, workforce reductions, and more.
- People Management: Lead a team of internal communicators through the employee experience strategy, connecting with our workforce, storytelling, and more.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline such as Communications, Journalism, or English with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in executive positioning and internal employee communications
- Experience in Campaign Strategy, Digital/Social Media, Speech Writing
- Media Relations experience at the local, specialized trade, and/or national level
- A background in an automotive, technical, or manufacturing environment required to support an expectation of technical writing comprehension and ability
- Extensive knowledge of AP Style and corporate journalism
- Experience building collaborative relationships with diverse and geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders
- Proven leadership abilities are required to successfully lead and drive positive engagement from a diversified and widespread workforce
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred: A background in an automotive, technical, or manufacturing environment required to support an expectation of technical writing comprehension and ability
- Masters degree in related discipline such as Communications, Journalism, or English
- Media Relations experience at the local, specialized trade, and/or national level
- Experience in Campaign Strategy

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $122400 - $208080

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
