Position Summary

The Clinic RN provides patient care coordination, physician support, skilled nursing assessments, and patient education within a fast-paced oncology practice. This position serves as a critical liaison between patients, providers, clinical staff, and support departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

- Coordinate patient care and ensure all necessary clinical information is available for scheduled appointments.
- Perform skilled nursing assessments to evaluate patients' physical status and treatment-related needs.
- Assist physicians with patient care coordination, scheduling, and follow-up activities.
- Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Support prior authorization and treatment documentation processes.
- Monitor patient concerns and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Supervise and provide guidance to assigned clinical support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and electronic medical record experience.

Preferred

- One to three years of oncology nursing experience.
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN).
- Experience in a physician practice or outpatient oncology setting.
