Patient Care Technician (Behavioral Health) – Per Diem – All Shifts

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and the multidisciplinary care team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, you will perform routine and complex patient care activities, assist with daily living needs, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care as part of the nursing team.
- Provide direct patient care and perform Nurse Aide responsibilities as needed.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Support patients with daily living activities and provide reassurance during periods of anxiety or distress.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other clinically relevant information.
- Communicate observations to the multidisciplinary team to support quality patient care.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
This position provides staffing coverage for all shifts, including weekends.
Preferred Criteria
- A college degree and at least one year of psychiatry-related experience
- EKG & Phlebotomy experience
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience as Nurse Aide
- ACLS, BCLS and additional American Heart Association Life-Support classes
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical functions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with staff, patients and visitors
- Complete in-house training program
