Senior Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Engineer to own and operate a large-scale, mission-critical integration landscape of 80+ active OIC integrations connecting Oracle Fusion Cloud applications with internal and third-party systems. This role combines hands-on integration development with database administration (Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing), Oracle Cloud Extensions development, support custom PowerShell scripting (for Oracle EPM) and DevOps/automation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can design, build, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve a complex, high-volume integration environment while enforcing strong engineering and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Integration Development & Operations
•    Own, monitor, and support a portfolio of 80+ Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations spanning Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, or similar) and third-party/on-premises systems.
•    Design and build new OIC integrations using REST/SOAP adapters, orchestration, mapping, and error-handling best practices.
•    Establish and maintain integration monitoring, alerting, and logging standards to proactively detect failures and performance degradation.
•    Work with managed services to provide L2/L3 production support, including root-cause analysis and resolution of integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.
•    Manage the full integration lifecycle: version control, environment promotion (dev/test/prod), release management, and change control.
•    Liaison with IT area to ensure adherence with larger enterprise architecture
Database & Platform (Oracle ATP)
•    Administer and tune Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases, including provisioning, schema management, performance optimization, and secure connectivity to OIC and downstream consumers.
•    Expertise in PL SQL Development and deployment
•    Monitor ATP performance and capacity, and implement corrective actions to maintain reliability and scalability.

Oracle Extensions
•    Design, build, and maintain Oracle Cloud Extensions (e.g., APEX, Visual Builder Cloud Service / VBCS and other PaaS-based extensions) to extend standard Oracle Cloud application functionality.
•    Partner with functional and UX stakeholders to translate business requirements into extension designs that align with Oracle upgrade and lifecycle practices.
Automation, PowerShell & DevOps
•    Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate EPM integrations
•    Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for OIC artifact packaging, deployment, and promotion across environments.
•    Apply DevOps practices — version control, automated testing, and release automation — to reduce manual effort and deployment risk.
Governance & Leadership
•    Enforce integration governance, naming conventions, security standards (OAuth 2.0, certificates, credential management), and coding best practices.
•    Lead design/code reviews and mentor junior integration developers.
•    Maintain comprehensive documentation: integration designs, data mappings, error-handling patterns, and support runbooks.
•    Partner with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend integration and automation strategies.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•    6+ years of experience in Oracle integration development, including 3+ years dedicated to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
•    Demonstrated experience owning and supporting a large-scale integration portfolio (80+ integrations or similar scale) in a production environment.
•    Hands-on experience administering Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), including performance tuning and secure connectivity.
•    Experience building Oracle Cloud Extensions using APEX, VBCS or comparable PaaS extension tooling.
•    Strong scripting ability in PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.
•    Practical experience with DevOps/CI-CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Oracle-native deployment tooling) for integration deployment pipelines.
•    Solid understanding of REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML, and API security (OAuth 2.0, SSL/TLS, certificate-based authentication).
•    Experience integrating with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (with a focus on ERP or finance modules).
•    Strong troubleshooting skills and production-support experience in mission-critical, high-availability environments.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) certification(s).
•    Experience with additional Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services (Object Storage, Functions, API Gateway, Vault).
•    Familiarity with Oracle Process Automation, Visual Builder Studio, or Oracle Analytics.
•    Experience with Git-based version control and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
•    Exposure to ITIL-based incident and change management processes.
•    Prior experience in a lead or mentorship capacity within an integration team.
