Product Developer for Payments & Receivables- VP

Citi is looking for a Senior Product Developer to shape and deliver the next generation of Payments and Receivables products at one of the world's most globally connected financial institutions. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product development lifecycle — from defining product vision and roadmaps through to release — working alongside technology, business, and commercial partners to bring market-relevant solutions to life. Your work will directly influence the performance and strategic direction of Citi's payments and receivables portfolio, with visibility across a global user community and client base.

Responsibilities:

- Define and deliver the product roadmap for Payments and Receivables solutions, aligning priorities with business strategy and translating market and client insights into actionable product features.

- Manage the full product development lifecycle across multiple initiatives simultaneously, scoping releases, tracking delivery milestones, and coordinating across technology and business teams to meet commitments.

- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial partners, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring product developments reflect partner needs and market expectations.

- Engage directly with clients on an occasional basis to present and explain product capabilities, translating complex functionality into clear and accessible terms.

- Identify and evaluate solutions across data analytics, reporting, workflow automation, and transaction processing that improve the performance and scalability of the receivables product suite.

- Monitor and embed regulatory and compliance requirements throughout the product development process, ensuring controls and governance standards are met at every stage.

- Produce executive-level reports and presentations that communicate product performance, delivery progress, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- 6 to 10 years of experience in product development, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of product initiatives within Payments, Receivables, or a closely related financial services domain.

- Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex product and technical concepts clearly to clients, partners, and senior stakeholders.

- Hands-on experience leading cross-functional product or project initiatives from concept through to delivery, including requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and release management.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate data quality issues, conduct exploratory analysis of business datasets, and translate findings into product decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with commercial partners, technology teams, and business managers across a distributed organisation.

- Proficiency in structuring complex problems, developing solution options, and driving workstreams to a clear outcome within defined timelines.

- Experience creating clear business and technical requirements documents, project plans, and management-level presentations.

Education:

- A Master's degree in a business, finance or any related field complements a Bachelor's degree and strengthens the candidate's academic foundation for this role.
