Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating customer demand with manufacturing capacity to support dependable on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and appropriate inventory levels. Manage customer orders, develop production schedules, coordinate material availability, maintain accurate ERP planning data, and work transparently across functions to support manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

- Manages customer orders from receipt through completion by entering and validating order information in the ERP system, reviewing order requirements for accuracy, confirming product availability and lead times, issuing order confirmations to customers, and closing completed work orders.
- Develops, maintains, and communicates detailed production schedules and lead times that align customer demand, available capacity, material availability, and business priorities.
- Monitors order entry accuracy, production progress, and schedule adherence and identifies potential delays or constraints and implements corrective actions to minimize disruptions and maintain key performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and average production lead time.
- Coordinates with procurement and inventory control to ensure raw materials and components are available to support planned production requirements.
- Analyzes demand forecasts, sales trends, and customer requirements to recommend production plans and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Maintains accurate planning parameters, bills of materials, routing information, and master data within the ERP system to support effective production planning and reporting.
- Collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, customer service, logistics, and sales teams to resolve order issues, communicate schedule changes, and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivery performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

- Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
- Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.

Work Environment

- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

- Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related.
Demonstrates skill in Project management, attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, supply chain planning, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Navision, Oracle, Infor, SAP, or similar platforms.
- APICS (Association for Production and Inventory Control Society) or ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
