About this role

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. They will assist the Office of Student Life with the preparation, coordination, and implementation of events and activities.

Salary Range: $15 per hour

General Purpose and Scope of Position: The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. They will assist the Office of Student Life with the preparation, coordination, and implementation of events and activities.

Major Responsibilities:

- Work with SGA to represent the student body’s voice when selecting future events/activities.

- Assist with event logistics (setup, teardown, attendance tracking, outreach and marketing, and other duties assigned).

- Work weekly in IvyLife to track Student Org needs.

- Create fliers and other promotional materials for events/activities.

- Distribute event promotional materials on campus.

- Assist the Office of Student Life with post-event assessment.

- Attend/work at Ivy Tech Sellersburg-sponsored events and activities.

- Attend and actively participate in CAB/Student Life event-planning meetings.

- Actively encourage students to participate and/or get involved on campus.

- Help to maintain the organization and flow of the Student Life Center.

Expected Schedul e:

- Monday-Thursday: 10-2pm

- Events/extended hours when needed.

- Roughly 15-20 hours a week. High-traffic times of the year may require 20-24 hours.

Minimum Requirements:

- High school diploma

- Customer service experience

- An interest in event planning and coordination
