Project Manager - Repair & Maintenance

Job Summary

The Project Manager performs planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large, complex repair and maintenance (R&M) and aftermarket projects supporting Weatherford's offshore assets. This role serves as a key liaison across Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Customer stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

The position oversees the execution of offshore asset refurbishment and maintenance programs, customer-owned asset repairs, prototype builds, new asset projects, major root cause corrective actions, and other strategic initiatives requiring significant cross-functional coordination. The Project Manager drives project executive from planning through inspection, repair, testing, green-tag certification, and shipping.

- Ensures all project activities comply with applicable customer requirements and industry standards, including API, ISO, ABS, DNV, NORSOK, and applicable third-party witness requirements.
- Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.
- Ensures work scopes, quality requirements, procedures, inspection plans, bills of materials (BOMs), and testing requirements are clearly defined as well as parts forecasts planned prior to execution.
- Ensures Quality Management System (QMS) requirements are followed through repair, manufacturing, testing, certification, and delivery activities.
- Leads and manages repair and maintenance (R&M) projects for Weatherford-owned and customer-owned (Aftermarket) offshore assets, including risers, accessories, topside equipment, and related subsea systems.
- Drives project execution from planning through asset receipt, condition assessment, inspection, repair, testing, green-tag certification, and shipping.
- Manages special projects such as prototype builds, new asset projects, and oversee recovery execution of major Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) where execution requires significant coordination.
- Participates in project planning activities, upstream of equipment arrival at the facility, focusing on the subset of package assets flowing through the shop.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, scope, schedules, budgets, tracking, risk registers, and execution strategies.
- Coordinates with Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, R&M, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Product Line R&M Manager to ensure actions progress to support R&M schedules.
- Ensures parts forecasting, procurement planning, inventory availability, and manufacturing readiness support project schedules.
- Collaborates with Aftermarket leadership regarding planning and execution of customer asset repair programs.
- Establishes project baselines, monitors performance, identifies variances, and implements corrective actions as necessary.
- Provides visibility into project execution status, resource utilization, milestones, risks, and overall performance.
- Predicts and coordinates resources required to achieve project objectives while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Develops and maintains detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management tools.
- Manages multiple concurrent projects across global functions and locations.
- Applies project management best practices and continuous improvement methodologies throughout project execution.
- Serves as the primary project representative with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, contractors, and third-party agencies for project reviews, meetings and correspondences. Communicate project objectives, responsibilities, schedules, and expectations clearly to all stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status reports, forecasts, performance metrics and risk assessments to management and stakeholders where appropriate.
- Secure appropriate approvals for changes in project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.

- Supports special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Collaborate with Planning, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to maintain accurate financial forecasts.
- Develops and manages project budgets based on approved scope, schedule, and resource requirements. Track R&M forecast and actuals costs per asset.
- Assist key stakeholders in making decisions to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Monitor project financial performance and provide recommendations to improve cost control and operational effectiveness.

- Promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project teams.
- Mentors and supports project team members in project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Skills/Education Required

- 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in products manufacturing or repair & maintenance operations.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, project cost management and control.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project controls software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Skills/Education Preferred

- Knowledge of offshore/subsea equipment systems.
- Project management experience in offshore, subsea, or deepwater oil and gas operations.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, AACE certification or equivalent project controls certification.
- Familiarity with API, ISO, ABS, DNV, and NORSOK industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
