Compensation Range
Hourly: $23.80 - $27.65 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The Client Associate provides client service and lending support to assigned Private Bankers and Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Managers. This position works closely with clients, advisors, and internal partners to complete service needs, support loan processing, and maintain accurate client information.

Essential Functions

- Manage portfolio of client relationships for 1-3 Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Managers.
- Provide a superior client experience by completing tasks, resolving issues, and following up in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Manager(s) to build a strong channel of communication.
- Prepare client presentations and participate in joint client or advisor calls when necessary.
- Assist in processing loans, coordinating document requests, preparing closing materials, and scheduling closings.
- Work with assigned Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Manager(s) to ensure CRM (Quest) records are kept up-to-date.
- Assist with ongoing servicing and monitoring of client relationships and credit facilities.
- Support other Private Banking Client Associates by communicating effectively and providing coverage when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

- Knowledge of general banking services and products, with emphasis on lending and deposit products.
- Demonstrated client contact and communication skills.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet preparation required; familiarity with contact management software and database management helpful.
- Good organizational skills.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years retail or commercial banking experience preferred.
- Experience with Commerce Bank internal systems preferred, including Quest and other applicable banking and loan systems.
- Prior experience in client service, lending support, or financial operations is beneficial.

For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. If you express interest in and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $23.80 to $27.65 per hour. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
