Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML)

KBR is seeking a Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) to support lifecycle sustainment, modernization, and readiness efforts for Naval Aviation weapon systems and mission-critical avionics. The DAPML serves as the logistics lead for assigned systems, overseeing sustainment planning, supply support, maintenance strategy, obsolescence management, and fleet modernization activities throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

- Execute Life Cycle Logistics management across all F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft configurations, supporting new capability integration, long-term sustainment planning, and obsolescence mitigation efforts for mission-critical avionics and mission systems.
- Serve as the logistics lead for key aircraft systems including Mission Computers (MC), Distributed Targeting Systems (DTS), Fiber Channel Network Switches (FCNS), and other avionics and mission equipment supporting fleet readiness.
- Manage the implementation and fleet incorporation of new and upgraded systems through Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs), ensuring alignment with program schedules, TYCOM guidance, and fleet modernization objectives.
- Coordinate with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), TYCOM, Fleet Support Teams, engineering organizations, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful transition of capability upgrades into operational squadrons.
- Lead maintenance and supply support planning activities in partnership with Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), ensuring appropriate sparing, repair capability, inventory levels, and sustainment resources are available to support fleet operations.
- Monitor supply chain performance and material availability, proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with OEM repair delays, vendor capacity constraints, diminishing manufacturing sources, and obsolescence challenges.
- Develop and execute innovative sustainment strategies to improve readiness, reduce repair turnaround times, and increase asset availability across fielded weapon systems.
- Analyze repair pipelines, backorder drivers, and logistics metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced operational support.
- Coordinate with engineering, software, and weapons laboratory organizations to develop alternative repair and recovery solutions that reduce reliance on traditional OEM repair channels.
- Support product support planning and risk mitigation efforts to prevent supply shortages from impacting fleet readiness, aircraft production schedules, and modernization initiatives.
- Assess logistics impacts associated with new system integrations, capability upgrades, and configuration changes to ensure supportability requirements are addressed throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver logistics briefings, readiness assessments, and risk analyses to program leadership and government stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

- Active Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platforms.
- Experience supporting avionics, mission computers, mission systems, software sustainment, or aircraft modernization programs.
- Experience executing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs).
- Knowledge of NAVAIR acquisition and sustainment processes.
- Experience working with NAVSUP, Fleet Support Teams, TYCOM organizations, OEMs, and depot repair activities.
- Experience supporting DMSMS, obsolescence management, and lifecycle sustainment planning.
- Familiarity with readiness metrics, supply chain analytics, sparing strategies, and repair turnaround time (TAT) management.
