Who are we hiring?

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and infrastructure at Big Dome and provides facilities support across the Burbank campus. This role helps ensure a safe, reliable, functional, and production-ready environment while supporting facilities, production, AV, and office services needs.

What will you do?

Facility Systems & Preventive Maintenance

- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire/life safety, and other building systems.

- Maintain HVAC equipment, including filters, belts, controls, thermostats, airflow, and basic mechanical troubleshooting; coordinate major repairs and upgrades with qualified contractors.

- Inspect and repair plumbing fixtures, drains, water heaters, supply lines, and restroom equipment; identify leaks, blockages, and other potential issues.

- Inspect electrical panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and circuit breakers; address minor repairs and coordinate complex or high-voltage work with licensed electricians.

- Maintain interior and exterior lighting, emergency lighting, exit signage, and lighting controls.

- Support testing and maintenance of emergency backup power systems and generators.

- Inspect fire/life safety systems and equipment, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, pull stations, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers; coordinate required testing, certifications, and vendor services.

- Maintain clear emergency exits, egress paths, and required safety signage.

- Repair and maintain drywall, ceilings, floors, carpet, doors, windows, locks, hardware, and other building finishes.

- Assemble, repair, relocate, and maintain furniture, shelving, fixtures, and other facility structures.

- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on appliances and breakroom equipment and coordinate warranty service or replacement when needed.

- Maintain organized inventories of tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

- Conduct regular facility inspections and promptly identify and address safety hazards.

- Perform maintenance in accordance with company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, applicable building codes, and other regulatory standards.

- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper chemical labeling, and appropriate storage practices.

- Maintain accurate preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, inspection records, and facility documentation.

- Monitor recurring maintenance issues and recommend solutions, repairs, or capital improvements.

- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs and after-hours calls as required.

- Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing safety and technical training.

Cross-Functional & Production Support

- Support Playback, AV Tech, Production, and other teams with facility and infrastructure needs at Big Dome.

- Assist with installation, mounting, cable routing, conduit, infrastructure preparation, and related AV/production projects.

- Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as certified and required.

- Coordinate maintenance activities with production and AV teams to minimize operational disruption.

- Support office moves, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, deliveries, receiving, and equipment placement.

- Respond to facility service requests from Office Services and other campus stakeholders.

- Access and monitor the Building Management System (BMS), including remotely when required.

- Oversee small building projects as needed.

- Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?

- 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related trade.

- HVAC certification and demonstrated knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and at least 3 years of experience supporting commercial systems.

- Soldering and brazing certification.

- Current certifications for boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift operation.

- Current CPR/AED certification.

- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and fire/life safety systems.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Valid driver's license

Special Requirements

- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform physical maintenance activities for extended periods.

- Ability to work at heights using ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.

- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and elevated noise levels.

- Manual dexterity required to operate tools and equipment and perform detailed repair work.

- Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and chemical cleaning agents; appropriate PPE is required.

- Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and after-hours support, may be required based on production and operational schedules.

Pay Range $65,000 — $105,000 USD
