Job Summary:
The Tool & Die Apprentice will learn the skills needed to build, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tools, dies, molds, and fixtures used in a manufacturing environment. This position works under the guidance of experienced Tool & Die Makers while completing hands-on training and apprenticeship requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of tools and dies.
- Learn to operate machine shop equipment and precision measuring tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Help troubleshoot tooling issues and support production needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety and quality standards.
- Participate in apprenticeship training and skill development programs.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Interest in machining, manufacturing, or skilled trades.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Good attendance, dependability, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
