Full Stack Developer – CloudDM (English)

Company Description

Within KPN, the CloudDM project is underway: an AI-driven software development effort to replace the current DM application. This 20-year-old mainframe application is being rebuilt with feature parity, based on existing documentation, the strategy configurations and the process knowledge held by our own SME's, the original source code itself is no longer available. This project is under significant time pressure.

The scope covers two applications that process millions of euros in payment flows every day and are closely scrutinised by the accountant and the annual report audit, so quality and reliability are paramount:

- Payment management: ensures payment instructions to the bank are created to collect money from customers, and that payments are allocated to the correct invoice. If a customer does not pay, they flow through to debt management.
- Debt management: applies strategies to convince customers in arrears to pay

You'll work closely with Manoj, lead architect and developer on the project, who directs a large fleet of AI agents that write most of the code. This is not 'vibe coding': it's intent-based, instructed development, where you understand the full development lifecycle and determine what gets built and how.

Job Description

As a full stack developer, you'll help rebuild a business-critical mainframe application, with AI-driven development as the starting point. You'll work across both back-end and front-end, and actively help shape the infrastructure the new environment runs on.

- Help build the CloudDM application with feature parity to the existing mainframe DM application
- Apply AI-driven, intent-based development (e.g. via Spec-kit or a comparable approach)
- Work with GitHub Copilot combined with Claude Code, AWS Kiro and Claude agents
- End-to-end development in Python, Vue.js and PostgreSQL
- Contribute at infra and DevOps level within a cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes)
- Work within an environment with high standards for quality, auditability and enterprise security

Qualifications

Must-have

- Extensive, demonstrable hands-on experience with AI-driven software development, preferably with Spec-kit or intent-based development
- Experience with end-to-end development of enterprise-grade applications, both back-end and front-end
- Solid knowledge of infra and DevOps, with a strong understanding of AWS and Kubernetes at infra level
- Demonstrable experience with production environments (development and DevOps), at least on medium-sized projects
- A formal diploma is not decisive: hands-on experience and proven ability weigh more heavily

Nice to have

- AWS and/or Kubernetes certification
- Knowledge of enterprise security and experience following up on findings
- Experience with Python, Vue.js and PostgreSQL

Competencies

- Independent and structured; able to instruct and direct AI agents in the right way of working
- Resilient under pressure and results-driven within a project with a hard deadline
- Quality-conscious, given the financial scale and the audit requirements (accountant/annual report) around the application
