Airtronics is a US Government Contractor specializing in the manufacturing, machining, repair and overhaul of products in support of various U.S. Department of Defense Agencies. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector.
Position Overview:
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will be experienced with common inspection tools and processes and bring a strong understanding of industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform in-process and final inspections on machined components and assemblies.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other hand-held gauges.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Document and report non-conformances accurately and clearly.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support quality and production teams to maintain AS9100 standards.
• Operate or assist with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in an AS9100-certified environment.
• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of CMM programming or operation a plus.
