## JOB SUMMARY:

The Application Support Engineer 1 provides core operational and technical support for large enterprise application software systems.

This role requires strong business analysis and problem-solving skills to manage day-to-day application requests, troubleshoot issues, and support software maintenance across various lines of business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide primary application support for assigned systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, resolving, and following up on daily production issues and service requests

- Assist in managing and prioritizing routine incidents, service requests, defects, and enhancement requests in accordance with established service level objectives (SLAs) and business priorities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define, prioritize, and implement basic enhancements and improvements across assigned applications

- Work alongside development teams to ensure client requirements are properly accounted for in new development initiatives

- Consult with Business Analysts and Business Relationship Managers on client feedback to support the planning of system upgrades and new features

- Write clear, accurate, and detailed user documentation and support workflows for implemented software application systems

- Build positive working relationships with internal clients and external support partners

- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple daily tasks and routine support tickets concurrently

- Analyze application issues and support organizational efforts to increase overall quality and efficiency

- Perform other job-related functions as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of formal education and related experience)

- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting enterprise applications or related field

Applicable Technical Knowledge & Experience:

- Basic operational understanding of Retail environments (e.g., POS, Supply Chain, Finance, or HCM systems)

- Foundational exposure to Web Application support and general application development workflows

- Hands-on support experience with enterprise software platforms (ERP, HCM, CRM, or POS)

- Proficiency with standard support and tracking tools (Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint, Azure DevOps / Visual Studio)

Core Competencies & Soft Skills:

- Strong foundational problem-solving, research, and technical troubleshooting skills

- Ability to follow structured systems analysis and design procedures

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage routine support tickets concurrently

- Effective oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with end-users, project team members, and immediate management
