Managing Principal – Risk Management

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Management team at Marsh. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of major clients and provide tailored risk and insurance advice that helps them understand and address their exposures. You will lead new business activity, support complex client matters, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver practical solutions. You will also mentor a team of risk professionals and contribute to Marsh’s profile in the market through client and industry engagement.

We will count on you to:

- Manage and grow relationships with major clients across a complex portfolio
- Assess client businesses, risk exposures, insurance needs and loss histories to inform suitable solutions
- Lead business development activity and contribute to new business opportunities
- Provide strategic risk advice to senior client stakeholders and support complex claims with claims specialists
- Manage, coach and support a team of risk professionals
- Maintain accurate client and compliance records, while staying across market and legislative changes

What you need to have:

- More than 10 years’ experience in commercial insurance or risk management
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Strong knowledge of key insurance classes such as Industrial Special Risks and General Liability
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior executives
