About this role
As the Director of Camera Display Algorithms & Systems you will provide strategic leadership and mentorship to a team responsible for developing market-leading algorithms and systems for camera imaging, machine learning, computer vision, and display processing across Google SoC products. This role involves driving innovation by collaborating with cross-functional research, software, and hardware teams to invent complex algorithms, define system-level architectures, and ensure performance, power, and area efficiency in future generation products while maintaining excellence in project execution.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $281000 - $391000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in multimedia algorithm and systems space.
- Experience in ISP, image processing, computational photography, computer vision and machine learning.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- 20 years of experience in multimedia algorithm and systems space.
- Experience in developing algorithms and architecture that have gone through the rigors of multiple smartphone SoC development and productization cycles.
- Proven track record in managing high performance teams and delivering algorithms for silicon.
- Proven track record in managing high performance teams and delivering algorithms for silicon.
- Deep technical expertise in ISP, image processing, computational photography, computer vision, machine learning and generative AI.
- Lead a team responsible for developing market-leading algorithms and systems in the areas of camera imaging and ISPs, ML, computer vision and display processing.
- Invent and develop complex algorithms for quality, develop architectural C-models, and specify system level architectures for products.
- Collaborate with Google research teams, drive innovations, and bring state of the art algorithms into silicon. Guide your team in making technical trade-offs in selecting the algorithms and ML models.
- Work with camera, video and display software teams to co-design leading user experiences. Develop IPs in performance, power and area, and ensure high quality IP development.
- Collaborate closely with Design Engineering, Design Verification, and Software Engineering teams to ensure seamless silicon implementation, integration, and end-to-end productization. Evaluate video and image quality end-to-end at the system level with models and prototypes.
