About this role

Role Summary

The Manager, Corporate Compliance is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the company’s corporate compliance framework in Hong Kong. The role ensures that the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and internal policies, with a particular focus on insurance regulatory requirements, governance, conduct, and compliance monitoring.

Six-month special assignment at Chubb Life Global Office: For the special assignment, the candidate would be responsible to undertake compliance-specific projects and assignments. These include the following:

- Supporting the set-up of a compliance programme for a new market, and providing operational and hyper-care support for stabilisation.
- Undertake specific compliance reviews of designated markets to assess design and operating effectiveness of compliance aspects, and report back with gaps and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the corporate compliance framework.
- Monitor compliance with applicable Hong Kong insurance regulatory requirements, including relevant Insurance Authority expectations, codes, circulars, and guidelines.
- Provide compliance advice to business and support functions on corporate governance, regulatory obligations, and internal policy requirements.
- Review and assess new initiatives, business changes, products, and operational processes from a compliance perspective.
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews, thematic reviews, and control testing, and track remediation of identified issues.
- Support regulatory reporting, licensing, and registration matters as required.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports, management information, and committee papers.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and registers.
- Support incident management, breach assessment, and escalation processes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and external advisers where necessary.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness sessions to employees.
- Support investigations, reviews, and special projects as assigned.

Direct Supervisor:

- During the first six months from joining, the position will be employed in Chubb Life Asia Services Ltd. (CLAS) for a special assignment and will report to the Chief Compliance Officer, Global Life. Details of the special assignment are mentioned separately below.
- Thereafter, the position will be permanently transferred to report to the Chief Compliance Officer, Chubb Life Hong Kong.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of compliance, legal, risk, audit, or regulatory experience in the life insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong insurance regulatory requirements and industry practices.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, policy review, and regulatory advisory work.
- Good understanding of governance, conduct risk, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Professional certifications in compliance, risk, insurance, or related fields.
- Experience working with regulators, external auditors
- Knowledge of agency, broker, or digital distribution compliance.
