Job Responsibilities
We are seeking an early-career engineer to support the day-to-day operation, process improvement, and industrialization activities within our welding flux manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring practical experience from a process industry such as cement, minerals, ceramics, chemicals, or related manufacturing environments. A background in welding, welding consumables, or metallurgical processes is highly desirable. This role is suited for someone who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving operational challenges, and working closely with production teams to improve process performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operation of the flux manufacturing facility, including mixing, agglomeration, drying, kiln processing, and product finishing activities.
- Troubleshoot process issues, investigate production variability, and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance.
- Work closely with R&D teams to execute pilot and commercial manufacturing trials for new and existing flux formulations.
- Monitor process parameters, analyze production data, and identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, yield, and cost.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process industry environment such as cement, minerals processing, ceramics, chemicals, refractories, or welding consumables.
- Familiarity with process equipment, plant operations, process troubleshooting, and industrial manufacturing practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly on plant-floor challenges.
- Experience with welding processes, welding consumables, or metallurgical manufacturing is preferred but not required.
