Glyphosate Business Development Manager South and East
POSITION PURPOSE:
We are looking for a commercially strong and execution-focused Business Development Manager to drive Bayer’s Glyphosate / Roundup business transformation in India. This role will play a critical part in accelerating growth, strengthening go-to-market execution, building strategic Regional Hub Distributor partnerships, and Improving profitability through disciplined channel, pricing, portfolio, and market development execution.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Accountabilities
1. Business Growth & GTM Execution
- Drive sales growth, market share, profitability, and disciplined go-to-market execution, including scale-up of the RHD model.
2. RHD Management & Governance
- Manage RHDs as strategic partners, ensuring business plan delivery, market coverage, pricing discipline, ROI, and governance.
3. Commercial Alignment
- Coordinate with commercial teams and RHDs on forecasting, secondary sales, collections, inventory, and execution follow-through
4. Market Development
- Expand retail reach, distribution depth, and market activation in priority territories and growth segments.
5. Portfolio & Pricing Execution
- Support portfolio, pricing, institutional, and alternate-channel execution while minimizing pricing leakage
6. Market Intelligence
- Track competition, pricing, customer trends, and market opportunities; convert insights into business actions.
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance, regulatory alignment, governance discipline, and responsible execution across business activities.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including commercial operations, channel management, and portfolio management.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture, Agri-Business, or a related field is preferred.
- MBA from a premier or elite university / business school will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of crop protection, herbicide markets, distribution networks, and commercial execution in the agriculture industry.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage strategic partners, and convert market insights into business actions.
