Senior Executive, Project & Engineering

Job Summary

The Senior Executive – Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is a site-based role at the Kashiv Pipan plant , responsible for supporting and executing EHS programs under the guidance of the Head of EHS. The role focuses on implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety practices within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The position works closely with site operations teams to ensure compliance with statutory, corporate, and EHS requirements while reinforcing a strong safety culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Support execution of site EHS programs in alignment with corporate and statutory requirements
- Implement EHS policies, SOPs, and work instructions at the Pipan plant
- Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and hazard identification exercises
- Assist in investigation of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
- Support compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA, local statutory requirements, environmental norms, and Kashiv standards
- Maintain site EHS records, permits, registers, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate and deliver EHS inductions and routine safety training programs
- Support environmental programs including waste management, chemical handling, and pollution control compliance
- Monitor contractor safety and ensure adherence to site EHS requirements
- Assist EHS Head during internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Track EHS metrics and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support safe execution of maintenance activities, shutdowns, and projects
- Escalate site-level EHS risks, non-compliances, and incidents to the Head of EHS
- Ensure compliance with Kashiv policies, values, and code of conduct

Position Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related discipline

Experience:

- 5–6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing / industrial environments
- Pharma / Biopharma or cGMP-regulated experience preferred
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and EHS management systems
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Knowledge of MSDS/SDS, hazardous material handling, and waste management practices

Skills & Competencies:

- Practical knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to identify hazards and support implementation of risk controls
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work effectively with shop-floor, engineering, and support functions
- Organized, disciplined, and execution-focused

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- Manufacturing and shop-floor environment
- Adopt to wear PPE and enter production and utility areas
- May require extended or flexible working hours based on operational needs
