The role requires close collaboration with network operations, engineering, service assurance teams, equipment vendors, managed-service partners, and other stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end problem-management lifecycle, from problem identification and logging through investigation, action tracking, validation, and closure.
- Analyse incident trends, major incidents, repeat failures, network alarms, performance data, and customer-impact patterns to identify systemic problems.
- Lead and facilitate root-cause investigations for complex, recurring, and high-impact technical issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional problem-review meetings involving operations, engineering, service assurance, vendors, and external partners.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and target completion dates.
- Maintain accurate problem records, known-error records, workarounds, investigation evidence, and resolution documentation in the relevant ITSM platform.
- Track and report problem-management performance, including backlog, ageing, recurrence, resolution effectiveness, and action completion.
- Validate the effectiveness of implemented fixes and confirm that recurrence risks have been reduced or eliminated.
- Identify improvement opportunities related to monitoring, alarm quality, capacity planning, network resilience, configuration standards, service assurance, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with change-management, risk-management, security, and service-continuity requirements.
- Escalate overdue, high-risk, or customer-critical problems and provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
- Work with vendors and managed-service partners to secure timely technical analysis, defect corrections, software patches, and permanent remediation.
- Contribute to continual-service-improvement initiatives and promote a prevention-focused culture across network operations.
- Support knowledge management by documenting known errors, workarounds, lessons learned, and operational improvements.
